Job Title : WEB PROGRAMMER

Job Duties:

Writing Oracle Stored Procedures and Oracle Packages using Oracle 12c/11g, PL/SQL and SQL programming based on the Technical Specifications with Customized functions and Triggers.

Fine tuning procedures/SQL queries for maximum efficiency and troubleshooting
production issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Working on web applications using Rational Application Developer (RAD) and deploying it in web sphere server.

Understand Functional and Design Requirements.

Coding and unit testing the new requirements (CRs) and Defects.

Analyzing the issues logged by user in Alloy tool and creating problem analysis and resolution document.

Working extensively with Composite date types, Records, Global temporary tables, PL/SQL tables, Ref Cursors and Dynamic SQL.

Working on Interfaces and maintaining track of Interface IP mapping. Responding to the action items /issues identified in the interface meetings.

Working on bulk collect for bulk loading the data into various transaction tables and Static & Dynamic Cursors.

Analyzing any issues/batch abends related to batch interfaces and providing solution/recommendation based on the problem.

Executing and fixing the Batch Programs.

Creating user defined exceptions to control the process based on business requirements.
Extensively working on query optimization and performance tuning.

Creating common packages used across the application by understanding Functional and Design Requirements and writing Data Cleanup Procedures.

Writing Technical Specifications based on the draft requirements from Joint Application Design Sessions.

Writing DSD’s for the Online and Batch Programs based on the Use Cases.
Writing Test Scripts for the Screens and Batch Programs.

Interacting with the Business Analysts for understanding the requirement in business as well as technical terms and Coding and unit testing the new requirements (CRs) and Defects
Performing analysis for issues in existing system or new requirement to provide recommendations to functional team.

Perform peer review for the updated technical documents to match with the code changes/requirement and report findings.

Unit testing

Fixing production issues/ Emergency fixes.

Documenting, tracking and communicating test cases, test results and unresolved problems; communicating system bugs.

Bachelor degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Engineering or related and three years of experience in a related occupation are required

Academic Training or experience must include:

– 2 years of experience with Oracle 10G, and PL/SQL programming
– 2 years writing Data clean up procedures
– 2 years Executing and automating Batch Programs with XML, UNIX and Shell Scripting
