Maximizing efficiency and ensuring timely contributions from noncustodial parents are critical to supporting the well-being of children. Maine’s Child Support Enforcement, under the Division of Support Enforcement and Recovery, faced challenges due to the high volume of cases, with caseworkers manually tracking progress across multiple screens. This slowed down processing and delayed support, limiting the number of cases they could manage effectively each day.
Protech’s solution, Track My Cases (TMC), was designed to address these issues by seamlessly integrating with Maine’s Child Support Enforcement system. It provided caseworkers with a customized dashboard that tracked all case activities and offered actionable insights. This streamlined their workflow, allowing for faster case management and more efficient processing of child support obligations.
As a result, Maine saw a 5.2% increase in child support collections, a 7% rise in arrears collections, and a significant reduction in “never paid” cases. By enhancing the efficiency of caseworkers and improving performance, the TMC solution greatly benefited Maine’s child support system, ensuring more timely financial support for families across the state.
